This wedding inspiration combines so many of my current loves. This statement necklace by Alexis Bittar was inspired by Queen Victoria and it is the centerpiece of this whole look. All of the other elements - the modern dress and color scheme - were inspired by the necklace. Three years ago, I interviewed with Alexis Bittar and I barely knew of this line of jewelry. Instead of moving to Brooklyn, my soon-to-be husband moved to Seattle. What an opportunity I missed. His jewelry is amazing, take a look!

Because of the blue in the necklace, this is also a perfect time to introduce the idea of colored stones in an engagement ring. The ring pictured is an aquamarine custom designed by Faye Cullen. I wish I was born in March so I could be showered in aquamarines every year on my birthday.

I envision a formal reception taking place in a chic backyard with a sparkling blue pool, passed champagne, cocktails and hor's douerves. Bell Harbor would also be a lovely location, overlooking Elliott Bay and the Seattle cityscape.
